High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE Film Grade – F7000 / 5110)

HDPE Film Grade Product

HDPE Film Grade Resin – F7000 / 5110

High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) film grade is known for its higher crystallinity compared to LDPE and LLDPE, which gives it greater resistance to tearing, stretching, and pressure.

Due to its higher density and mass, the production process requires more power and precise thermal control. This ensures uniform film thickness and performance during demanding applications.

Key Benefits

  • High resistance to tearing, stretching, and puncture
  • Greater stiffness and strength due to high crystallinity
  • Durable films for heavy-duty applications
  • Good moisture and chemical resistance

Typical Applications

  • Industrial heavy-duty bags
  • High-strength packaging films
  • Trash bags and liners
  • Agricultural and construction films

Technical Properties (Typical values)

  • Density: ~0.945–0.955 g/cm³
  • Melt Flow Index (MFI): Grade dependent (commonly 0.05–1.0 g/10 min)
  • High tensile and impact strength
  • Excellent chemical resistance

Processing Guidelines

  • Extrusion temperature: 180–230°C (with careful thermal control)
  • Requires higher power input during processing compared to LDPE
  • Compatible with mono- and co-extrusion systems
  • Ensure precise cooling for dimensional stability

Packaging & Storage

Supplied in 25 kg polyethylene bags or bulk containers. Store in a cool, dry, and ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and heat. Handle with care to prevent contamination of pellets before processing.

Sustainability & Recycling

HDPE is recyclable and classified as Type 2 (HDPE). It is widely collected in recycling streams and reused in applications such as pipes, containers, and recycled film products. Its strength enables thinner films, reducing material usage over time.
