Rotomolding Polyethylene (Grade 3840)

Rotomolding Polyethylene Product

Rotomolding Polyethylene – Grade 3840

Grade 3840 is a polyethylene material designed for rotational molding processes. In rotomolding, powdered or liquid polyethylene is placed into a mold, which is heated and rotated to evenly coat the inner surface, forming hollow or complex shapes.

This grade provides appropriate viscosity, excellent thermal stability, and high impact resistance, making it ideal for heavy-duty molded products that require uniform wall thickness and durability.

Key Benefits

  • High impact resistance and toughness
  • Excellent thermal stability during molding
  • Uniform wall thickness in rotomolded products
  • Good processability for complex shapes

Typical Applications

  • Large water tanks and storage containers
  • Industrial and agricultural tanks
  • Heavy-duty hollow products and playground equipment
  • Custom rotomolded consumer or industrial products

Processing Guidelines

  • Use in standard rotational molding machines
  • Ensure correct heating profile to maintain uniform coating
  • Optimized for powder or liquid feedstock
  • Handles complex shapes with even wall thickness

Packaging & Storage

Supplied in powdered or granular form in sealed bags or bulk containers. Store in a cool, dry, and ventilated area to prevent moisture contamination. Avoid prolonged exposure to heat or sunlight.

Sustainability & Recycling

Rotomolding polyethylene is recyclable (Type 2 – HDPE). End-of-life products can be reprocessed into other HDPE items. Its durability reduces the need for frequent replacement, contributing to sustainability.
